brake rotors dont fit right

i ordered a set of rotors for my FD. the discs dont seem to fit well in the calipers with new pads. i had to use my old worn pads to get the rotors to fit. (had to even tap with a mallet. has anyone ever had this problem before? heres the link to the site I ordered the brakes from.

what's not fitting about them? too thick? did you press the pistons inwards in order to allow clearance ?
