Just replaced my brake pads. Noticed that brake pad extend all the way to the edge of the brake rotors and a little beyond that. Is this normal? I've always saw the brake pads extend close to edge of rotor, but never beyond it

 

Ive bought 3 sets of pads due to this issue. It's a hit or miss. I personally just grinded off the excessive brake pad thats sticking out.

No, it is not normal but there is nothing u can do about it other than grinding those extra "lips" off.

Otherwise you will have a crap ton of brake noise.
