Brake light comes on when cornering

Has anyone experienced their hand brake light coming on when they are cornering? I've held the brake lever in the down position when taking a turn and it still comes on. I'm assuming there's a sensor somewhere's that loose. Does anyone know where it might be? (for a FD)

Check your brake fluid level.

As xchaos says your brake fluid is low. It will probably blink on if you accelerate hard from a stop too. There's a float sensor in the reservoir that turns the idiot light on if the fluid gets low.

Alright - I checked the brake fluid level and it's between the min and max markers. Probably ok.

I'm thinking the parking brake sensor is loose. Can anyone lead me to where it might be?

Check the parking break switch located under the handle.

Mine turns off/on every so often. When I clean out the switch area it seem to work. But, that's just mine.

To see if it's the parking brake there's no need to take anything apart. Just start the car and jiggle the brake lever without actually engaging the first notch. If it doesn't light the idiot light it's not the parking brake.

The float in the reservoir trips easily. Even though it's above the MIN mark I would still top it off. 9 times out of 10 it's the fluid level and not the parking brake.

Well, it *was* the brake fluid level. I topped the reservoir off this afternoon, took her for a spin and no silly lights came on.

Thanks for the help everyone
