23 lbs?! thats kinda on the heavy side.

VOLK SE-37K's in 18x9.5 are 16.75 lbs, and cost MUCH less.

Yeah it's a little on the beefy side..the 18x10's are probably closer to 24lbs..23.xxx on the bathroom scale..the 18x9's are about 23 lbs. It's actually not bad for a 3 piece wheel.. I know I could have gone cheaper and lighter..nothing against SE37K's..because I actually wanted them really bad when the first come out. ...but I was always hem and hah (sp?) between mesh and star style... I think the K5's maybe a little lighter then the k58's in the same size..but I liked the k58's a little better.

thanks for the comments....

you are probably not that far off...but Max Coopers's 17x9.5's weighed in at 16.6...so I think the 18's will be in the mid 17's somewhere..still about 4-5 lighter then what I got.

I weighed my tires today too..for the hell of it.(Yok AVS Sports)
235x40x18 = a hair over 23 lbs
265x35x18 = 25 lbs.

So my front will weigh with tires about 46 lbs and the rears will be about 48 lbs...I'm happy with that. I also weighed my stock rims with BFG R1's and they weighed 39-40 lbs each

My SE37K's, 18x9.5 weighed in at 16.5oz, 18x8.5 weighed 16 even on a USPS scale. AVS sports are notoriously heavy for tires.

8 lbs / Wheel (=20% increase) will make a very noticable diff in handling, acceleration, & braking (for the worse) and you WILL need much stiffer shocks to keep them planted on the road.

It's going good...

1. I have all my tires...AVS Sports..
2. I have all the rims...
3. My ground control coilovers should be installed by wed.

But I'm still waiting for my lightweight lugs from Rays...then I have to run to the alignment shop and get all aligned again after the 18's go on.

Shouldn't be too long from now

I dont think my tires or rims are what you could call on the light side...but I am overall happy with the weights that I will be getting...I was dead set on 3 piece so I pay a little weight penalty.but oh well. As for the springs..I can never remember the stock values..but I think think my springs alone are atleast 60-70% stiffer..so I think I am ok there
