what would be the widest width possible w/o complications?
How tall?
I use the stock 16's with 11.5 inch M/T Streets. I think they are 11.5, I may have to go outside and look. They are the best IMO for FD's the soft sidewall will flex when you launch so it's easier on the drivetrain. My friend has a 500-600 hp single turbo Supra and he runs 12.5 width tires and pulls low 1.7 60' times. Pretty impressive for a 3700 lb projectile.

26x10 or 26x11.5.....works perfect fits perfect on stock wheels. No rubbing or anything.
I know a ton of people that have run 26x10.5 and a few have run the 26x11.5. I ran the 11.5's cause I found a set for cheap...but either works.

With an aftermarket rim (15x8) you can run a 28x9 slick out back (stock springs/koni yellows) as Hinson does. With the stock 16x8 rim I've read tons of people doing 26x10.5 slicks.
245/50/16 Nittos or M/T DR 255/50/16's would be other good choices if you drive them on the street. The M/T DR is the best drag radial out currently. Records have been dropping and they are better than the BFG DR's and Nitto DR's even beating times previously set by M/T ET Streets.

I actually called M/T today to ask about the size issue. They said 26 X 10.5 would be fine for the stock wheels, but he thought the 255 50's would be a stretch. Anyone have the ET Street Radials 255 50 16's or know anyone that has them on without any problems? I think I might just go with the ET Streets if I can find a good price.
Are you driving the M/T Drags on the street?

I'm looking to buy street slicks for my stock wheels so I don't want to buy the wrong size. Thanks.

So do the new street radials not flex as much in the sidewall but are stickier? I just want to make sure I don't leave my backend at the tree even if it costs me a couple tenths.

Read text above !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BMac- If you plan to launch hard I would replace the Torsen with either an S4 Turbo 2 LSD (clutch pack style) or a bling bling $800 KAZZ LSD. The Torsen is notoriously weak when drag raced and will fail after repeated launches even on street tires.....
I have an S4 LSD in my FD pumpkin. There are quite a few guys running this without any hiccups in the 10's.

Hey thanks a lot for the advice! I really appreciate it.
Is the S4 noisy like the Kaaz? I heard the Kaaz wasn't very streetable although I know a guy that launches at 8k repeatedly without breaking anything. My 7 is 90% street car with the weekend jaunt to the track so I don't want a whiney back end for the most part. Let me know what you think! BMac

The S4 T2 LSD has no noise... you can set the KAZZ up in 3 different trims.... one of them is less noisy... if you make it near full lockup it is essentially a locker and will click on anything that isn't straight.
I daily drive my car about 70miles/day and road race about 1x month with it. No problems or signs of it wearing out.
The KAZZ and T2 LSD are similar designs... the KAZZ is much beefier but the S4 T2 LSD seems to be stout enuf for most apps.
