That is b/c you don't need a 4 piston (pot) caliper for the rear of the FD. RacingBrake has a rear big kit for the FD that uses a larger rear rotor and the stock caliper spaced further outward to accomodate the larger rear rotor.

i fail to see the use of a bigger rotor and stock caliper. if your not increasing the size of the pad (increased surface area=increased friction), unless it helps with fade.

Well then you should educate yourself more about brake systems before deciding what you "need"

i have made a custom kit (ALCON nascar XT calipers, and Brembo 328x35mm rotors) for the fd. It will be the perfect balance for front and rear. pm me if you are interested in some info

You are forgetting that the friction creates torque on the brake rotor. The bigger the brake rotor, the more effective whatever pad or caliper you have clamping the rotor, because its able to apply more torque given the same frictional force.

I think an upgrade to the 99/rz/spirit-r rear brake setup should be more then enough for both track and street use. Should also help "balance" your braking if you have a monster BBK setup upfront.

heres my new brake kit

You need to measure ur car in order to make sure if its properly, in case it doesnt you may add spacers. but it all depends to your rims. you need at least 2 inch clearance

328x35mm brembo Nascar spec Rotors 48vane
Alcon nascar Xt calipers (a huge ****)
Anodized aluminum rotor hats
Wilwood polymatrix H compound pads 30mm

If you drive it a bone stock FD will go 130 plus depending on the road course and you'll melt any pad w/ the stock brakes in a weekend. In one day along w/ cracking the rotors in half w/o good duct work. A big brake kit is a must if for no other reason than fitting in a thicker pad.

the sad side to this is that i will only be able to offer one kit. There are no any alcon XT calipers anywhere around. I happen to have 2 sets and that's it and yes they are both brand spanking new in their original box

I can contact alcon and see if they have any left overs anywhere else but i highly doubt it. If they do they wont give them lower than $3k each :P

As for the rear kit, nothing so far even though its spinning on the back of my head as of which caliper to use to work good and look good (matching)

the price tag will be around (And possibly less ) $3k
For those interested in the technical stuff of this caliper, i can't add the pdf technical sheet but i can email it to anyone, just shoot me a pm with ur email address

new brembo
a few left overs of alcon

NOT SURE IF ANYONE MENTIONED THIS BUT YOU WOULD LOSE THE EBRAKE IF YOU CHANGE TO AFTERMARKET ALUMINUM CALIPER. YOU WOULD NEED TO UPGRADE TO A HYDRAULIC EBRAKE MECHANISM TO RETAIN THE FUNCTION.

THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T SEE THEM BEING OFFERED FOR THE 7'S.

Z33, STI, EVO all use a DRUM Style Ebrake so they can change the caliper and still have ebrake.

i have seen a few wilwood calipers that offer the e-brake setup ( same as the fd type) but yes you are right. In the majority of the cases you will need to use hydrolic mechanism
something like this

are there any rear bbk that allow the use of the ebrake w/o an additional caliper (one per rotor)?

It appears that wilwood might be your only manufacturer.

What size rotor do you want to use in the rear, considering this is a custom setup. I have a friend who works at wilwood and can ask him on your behalf.
