big fronts, even bigger rears?
I had a question. A bunch of people on here are running bigger sized wheels in the back. IE. 17x7 in the front and 17x8 in the back. This is cool and all and makes the car look a little better with big rear tires. But what I was wondering is won't it cause tremendous amounts of understeer? Think about it for a second, if your taking a turn really fast the rear has 2 inches more rubber on the ground so wouldn't the front tires lose traction first? Also the fact of not being able to rotate your tires on a street car kind of sucks. Anyone got any issues or comments on this? How do a lot of people on here run 17x8's all the way around without running a body kit? I don't understand that either. I've had reputable people tell me you can't really fit 17x8's in the front without a lot of problems.

Ill assume that youre talking FC fitment judging from the wheel sizes you mentioned. To answer your 1st question, yes running a larger rear tire/wheel combo can/will induce a bit more oversteer. How much you stagger the front and rear tires really determines how much though. I like to keep my front tires no less than 2 sizes smaller than my rears. For example on my FD I run 275 rears and 255 fronts, on my old FC I was running 255 rears and 235 front. I feel this keeps things pretty balanced, and I can still correct understeer with the throttle in most cases.
As far as fitting 17x8s in the front of an FC, it can be done on stock fenders, but the offset needs to be about perfect. I felt than on mine a 17x8 +32 was about ideal, you can go out to +25 if you roll the fenders a touch, and that may be a better solution. I was running 235/40r17s up front with that setup.
