Easy.

1. JRZ coilovers, or perhaps the new Penske set up someone was working on (I can't tell you the exact spring rate, but if you're serious, you get a bunch of springs and tune for the specific track/application)

2. Wanklin's urathane bushings, w/ RE toe/trailing arms.

3. Tri-Point sway bar (can't tell you tube thickness, see comment on springs).

4. Widefoot billet sway bar mounts

5. 18x10.5 front, 18x11" rear wheels (find sub-20 lb. forged ones w/ custom offsets). 285/30/18 front, 295/30/18 rears. (Can't help you with tire/compound, see spring comment)

Honestly guys, save your breath. It's another college kid with a gold card living in fantasy land, but what the heck, if i were playing with monopoly money, i'd do it too. Have a ball, kid.

Na, he needs some 28's. So he can roll with some bling, screw drop spindles, lift it to the sky.... I wish I had a money tree to pick from.

Thank you! I researched all of them and I think im close to making a decision, I thought it was obvious that I wanted them for autox/twisties, I think I even mentioned that ealier, oh well whatever. I have a friend that is really good with tuning suspension so once I get all my parts he will be able to set up everything how I want. To eveyone that said that I need to be more specific, I dont get it, I said the best performing, obviously when your buying coilovers and suspension you want to go as fast as possible around turns and if not you want the best "drift" suspension, which would be "specified"

Well... the setup isn't any good if you can't handle it.

McKee has a preference for stiffer suspensions so a novice will likely spin the car around if he/she copied the settings.

If you really cared about going fast you would not buy an FD. Go get a Supercharged Ariel Atom or an Exige S and leave us be.

The best suspension is 4,000$ a corner. You don't have the money and if you do you would be stupid for buying this type of suspension because you have nowhere near the driver skill to fully utilize this. Take one corner amount and go spend it on a driving school such as Jim Russell or Bridgestone academy or something.

Also every level of professional motor sport tunes their suspension setup depending on the race track because every track has different road surfaces and corners.

If you have all this money to spend just get yourself a good working FD. That is already hard enough.

Then:

17*9 rims with 255/40/17 tires Falken Rt615 or Kumho MX
Koni Yellows with RSR Springs
Upgraded Rad and Stock Mount Intercooler
Cleaned and Flow tested injectors
Apexi Power Fc properly tuned
New brake pads and rotors if neccesary as well as SS brake lines
Downpipe, HighFlow Cat, Catback exhaust of your choice
A good alignement

Already with that you would be miles and beyond of what you can probably do with the car and all for less than the price of half a racing suspension.

Yes we do. One that's not good enough to sit back and listen to experienced people who know what they are talking about.

If you really are as good as you say/believe, then you wouldn't be asking these questions. That's why people are giving you such a hard time in this thread.

Dude, do yourself a huge favour. You've got 10K. This part is cheap, and when your done, youll actually have the knowledge to figure this out yourself, instead of doing it through other people. I've driven a stock FD, and the first thing I would have done is put in a new stereo, that's how good they are. So go to www.sportcompactcarweb.com and buy all the back issues for the last year. I have them, and Mike Kojima (tech editor) did a phenomenal suspension writeup. Each month they covered a different topic. It taught me alot. Like shocks are not shocks. They are dampers. Theres a difference. etc. Trust me it helps to learn all this yourself, so when your telling everyone you've got a set of so and so springs, and they ask you the spring rates, you don't look like a fool when you look at them with a blank stare. Knowledge is power, and money doesnt grow on trees. To spend that 10K WISELY, you need to know what your spending it on. But if your that insistent, TEIN USA should have you covered, call them and ask for the best street/some track coilovers they can give you. They have a great reputation for quality and performance. Get some polyurethane bushings from Energy Suspension, and Cusco, Carbing or almost any other decent import parts company will have strut braces for you. There goes half of your 10K and you dont even know what all that will do for you. Good luck.

P.S. While your at it, get some dubs and put this thing on a carpet, because as much as I hate the concept of a show only car, it's better than seeing an FD wrapped around a tree by some guy that isn't willing to learn how to drive it or anything about it. If I had that kind of money, the very first thing would be a good driving school. That's one weekend of your life, a quarter of what your loan is, and you still have enough left over to improve your car once actually know what needs improvement.

Chris

If I had to do the beginner thing all over again, I would spend 10K on traveling expenses and auto-x as many times as possible on the stock setup.
