Best looking Rims for the FD?

Im looking into buying new wheels for my FD. I have the stock chrome wheels on it now but i want new ones. What would you say are the best looking rims on the FD and what size? ALso im not thinking of spending more then like $700 bucks. Thanks!

well that is a low budget for the best looking rims for a FD. I think your best choice would
be 5ZIGEN FNO1R-C which run around 800-900 in a 17x9 size +43 offset.

If you want the best look at Volk, SSR and RegaMasters!! but don't look if you can't shell
out $2k +

Volk, SSR, and RegaMasters are just good rims, definitely NOT the best. For the "best" rims your looking more at $4K +. I really don't think you can get any decent wheels for $700.00. I would suggest holding off on rims until you can save up some more money.

That question's like asking "who's the hottest girl in the world?"
It all ends up in the eye of the beholder....

Most of you probably already have seen this picture, but I thought it would be appropriate for this thread. I think this combination is near perfect for the FD. I don't care for the style (and the cleaning of them), but I bought them because they were reasonably priced and most importantly the size and offset. Wheels are Enkei NTO3+M, tires are Advan and sizes are: front 9.5j +27 w/265 35 and rears are 10.5j +30 w/ 285 30 x 18. If I were to order new tires, I would put 255/35-18 on the front.

I'm beginning to think there's something different about overseas RX7s when I see the offsets people use on them.

There's no way in HELL a 10.5" +30 wheel will fit on an FD without fender flares. I have 10" +42's, and they nearly rub the lip, and i've seen 11" +48's needing the lip cut completely off and requiring conservative ride height. 10.5" should require at least a +40 offset, even with trimmed fenders.

And a 9.5" +27 front?! I've got both 9" +42's and 9.5 +41's, and both require rolled fenders and still rub the liners a bit.

What give's here?@

Well...it's a US Spec FD. You have to see it to believe it. I do know that Tom doesn't have the inner mud guards though, so that might make a bit more sense. Trust me...it works. The fact that he's keeping up with (and beating) C5 Z06's and twin-turbo 400HP G35s on the racetrack pretty much should get the point across. He's a Formula Mirage instructor as well...so he knows what he's doing.

He posted a vid of himself running through the off-camber, which gives a pretty good lean through it...no rubbing from what I've seen. I plan on doing the same to my FD, because it looks absolutely wicked.

Where in oversees are you located? I'm pretty sure an FD is an FD.

REH, that has to be the cleanest looking install. It barely sits inside the lip. Very nice work. Do you have ANY lip on the fenders, or did you grind it off completely?

Nope . . . the lip is still there, tucked in tight. My friend let me borrow his special Eastwood fender roller. I should've gone for 255 for the fronts instead of 265. If you want even more clearance, then go for 245/35.
