base model suspension

im pretty sure this question has been asked before, but i have no time to look for it.. or where to start, but, i have a base model 93' FD3S.. and im doing an engine swap, a 5.3L 323 w/ a turbo, and i was wondering how much hp/trq. the stock rear end can handle w/out snapping or doing any modifications to hold a lot of hp/trq... im estimating around 500-600hp not sure about torque.. probably 500-600 as well..

thanks.

pm me w/ info.. it would be quicker.. or easier for me to find.. =) thanks again.

Consider moving this to the general 3rd gen section. The diff isn't really part of the suspension.

If you do drag-style launches, the stock diff will break pretty quickly with that much torque. The axles (half-shafts) will break, too.

Here you go *******:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/how-much-can-stock-fd-differential-handle-630755/

Took me all of 30 seconds to find this post. Doubt you're that busy on a major holiday to not have 30 seconds of free time to look **** up.

Max is right about the differential not being part of the suspension, hence your thread is incorrectly titled *and* in the wrong forum.
