ASA JS5 18"x7.5 wheels-which tires mate best
Am new to this forum and any help is greatly appreciated. Currently have stock rims and Dunlop D60 A2 tires on a 93 Touring. Stock suspension also. I am looking at upgrading to the 235/40-18 SO3's with the ASA JS5 18"7.5 wheels. Just curious if this is a good match (Tire Rack says yes), and what if any suspension upgrades would be needed or recommended that would give a good ride but not rub. Thanks.

Yeah that's not a good deal for you. That's a weak fitment and will look funny on the FD.
We work with tirerackwholesale and can give you a better price than them, but I refuse to sell these wheels to anyone with an FD.
If you want a good fitment and deal, you should get something else. There are much better styles out there for that price in an 8" width.
Can you be patient? I will find something for you of reputable brand, fitment, and a good deal.
See ya, Rishie
Ask Neevosh, he'll vouch for me. hehe.

My new suggestion, if going with the rack's selection.
The MM11 squared in 18,8 and 18,9. The price is less and the fitment is better. Plus they're better wheels than ASA, and I do know that they're licensed by BBS. That doesn't mean a thing.
the MM11 with 18,8 and 18,9 with 235/40 and 265/35, utilizing Kumho 712's will run you around $1250.00 direct from the tire rack.
That's an amazing deal and my final reccommendation for the budget minded enthusiast. Plus they look way better. The ASA's look cheaper than ****. I know cause we carry them through a local distributor.

Trailing links won't do a thing for clunking.
The three rear suspension parts that clunk are:
- toe links (replacements available from M2, however the rod ends on my M2 links seem to have play in them now -- oh well, at least it is cheaper than stock bushings to replace them)
- pillow ***** (there are six in the rear suspension total, see my how-to for more info: http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/how-to/...lls/index.html)
- wheel bearings
-Max

My reason for choosing the Kumhos was because I assumed that you were in the buget minded region and tires can make a huge difference in price.
As for handling, if you like the ride of your vehicle now and just want to improve handling I would suggest getting the Koni Yellow adjustables. These come with a slight adjustable lower spring perch so you can retain use of your stock springs and still lower the vehicle a 0.5" or so. just perfect in my opinion and a very inexpensive alternative.

I'll shoot you pricing.

I have 7.5"'s
They actually look good on the car but they make me nervous. They have a nice chrome (bling bling) shine. Will they fit TII's as well? Is that the width the T2's use or do I have to sell it to the Honda crowd? (17x7.5's)
