Apexi coils and Tockico shock
I had the stock suspension until i put in the Apexi coils onto my stock struts. My stock coils were not completely blown. I came across a really good deal for some Tockico shocks and I picked them up.
My car was not slammed, but it was lower. I could only stick a finder in between the tire and the fender.
I went ahead and installed the shocks. Once I was done the car was a bit high. I though maybe when i take the e-brake off and move it they will settle.
Not the case the car was raised at least an inch and a half.
A friend of mine told me that I needed to let the shocks settle before I tighten them down. I didnt know there was a specific way to put in the shock and springs to get the correct drop.
If anyone has any info they can give me I would appreciate it.

your stock shocks might of been blown thus the drop .. new shocks not blown .. thus less drop .
howmany miles were on the OEM shocks , the actual Springs almost NEEVER go bad . you can use them for 300k miles if you wanted . the shocks on the other hand do .. and if you used stiffer springs , it puts even more stress on the shock ..
