Anyone using H&R Race springs?

Im thinking of getting some H&R Race springs for my FD but was wondering how the ride quality is on them. The car is my daily driver but I dont mind having a bumpy ride. Im planning on using them with my existing Tokico Illuminas set on the softest setting for the street. Anyone have experience with these springs? Thanks!

You might try searching. There are many comments on the H&R springs in this section.

Not too many comments on the race springs. Lots of comments on the H&R Sport Springs for FD Rx7.

I did a search but didnt find anyone using the Race springs. Everyone uses the Sport ones since theyre the in between springs (not too hard, not too soft).

I guess my biggest concern with the Race springs is the drop. Its supposed to lower the car from 1.75"-2" depending on car. I want to know if it lowers it 2", will I have to switch over to a 225/45/16 tire?

i've got the race springs and the ride isn't much harsher than the r1 ride. the only thing i don't like is the car doesn't sit totally even on both sides. i'll have mine up for grabs here soon as my tein flex's should be in

Do you have any pictures of your car with the springs installed? How much did it lower your car? Are you using the stock wheels w/stock sized tires? I'm more worried about the front tires rubbing the fender on hard turns using the stock 50 series tires. Sorry for all the questions but Ive never seen anyone with these springs.

Theres actually 3 types of H&R springs:
- OE SPORTS: Lower the car a bit. For wussy drivers.
- SPORT: Firmer spring rate and lower the car more. For the weekend enthusiast.
- RACE: Stiffest of them all and lowers the car the most. For the crazy **** who doesnt care about smooth rides.

These descriptions are short versions of what the website says.

the front left rubs quite a bit on the fender lining under hard turning, but not during typical driving. i have 245/50's all the way around
