Yeah, they are almost half the price of the S03 and similar traction........

Its too bad they dont have **** for available sizes in the MX Especially in 16" wheels. Is it so wrong to need 225 and 245s in 45 series 16" wheels?

225/50 16 is the stock size tire for FD's. The STS and STX autocrossers are making a lot of noise about these tires ... apparently as good of grip as the Falken Azenis and better heat resistance. Hopefully, Kumho will release more sizes in the near future.

Small qualifier on the MX's .... scrub-in period takes a little longer. After 500 miles or so, they start to get real grippy. The performance during the scrub-in period has been described as fairly sub-par. So ... YMMV.

no so good... you can see that the tires have huge blocks... big blocks means bad water dispalcement.

Not necessarily true. The RE750's I just bought have similar 'big' block tread pattern and, according to the Tirerack reviews, have great wet traction.

If you want the full lowdown: check out - www.sccaforums.com and scroll down to STS & STX. You'll see the thread ... New Kumho MX's

The S03 is the ultimate.......... everything else is really close in wet.

BUt if u obey the speed limit and adjust ur driving for wet weather u should be good with any street legal tires.

These Kumho are rated AA and Maz performance.

This means that they perform very well in both wet and dry conditions.

Besides, they are about half the price of S03 and I don't consider these shitty tires at all.

There are shittier tires for more $$$$.

I'm running these on my Audi and they are indeed fantastic tires.

They're absolutely fine in the rain. We saw zero hydroplaning at some nice Western U.S. highway speeds on a recent road trip (75mph+).

They're the exact same tread rating as the S-03, and IMO perform almost identically (thought I haven't done a direct comparo on the same car).

For the money, they can't be beat.

And they stick, stick, stick.

p.s. Should add...they can be a bit noisy if you're used to a quiet car and quiet tires. I think that pretty much excludes everyone on this board due to the quiet car part. In other words, the Audi is a bit louder at highway speeds, but nothing that bothers me.

I have used A032r numerous times.

Nothing can be louder then that.

Supposedly they grip better as they wear down.

Perhaps that have infringed on the Bridestone patent of the Uni-T

I run the MX's on the street and I would definitely buy another set. I autocrossed with them this weekend and I have to say I definitely prefer my Hoosiers when racing.

See my post above. I'd say they're remarkably similar in performance. Again, the disclaimer is that I drove them on two different cars (MXs on my Audi S4, the S-03s on a '98 911 Targa).
