Anyone running 18x8.5 with a +40 offset?

First I'd like to state that I indeed read this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/suspension-wheels-tires-brakes-archive-112/need-suggestions-wheel-gurus-330780/

According to Jim I should be ok but I would still like some first hand experience.

Here is the deal:

I purchased a set of wheels in silver but the salesman just called me and tells me that what they thought they had in stock is not there. Either I wait 6 months,- go with a lower offset (yikes!) or get them in gun metal...

For the front I was getting 18x8.5 with a +42 offset , but as it turns out they only have them in +40... And I'm a little nervous about a +40 offset because of possible rubbing issues. I have a stock suspension.

Thanks,
M-

They'll fit fine. I hope you're going wider for the rears.
