I've heard rumors that they are manufactured in the same factory as Apexi's. I can say that this is completely false.

They look exactly the same and are cheaper than Apexi's because Megan Racing is a knock-off company. Their entire product line (that I know of) is a knock-off of another product from a reputable company. Take their exhausts for example, they are knock-offs of the Apexi N1's (I believe it's the N1). They take the design from another product, copy it exactly, and have it produced in China/Taiwan for much cheaper, hence the lower prices.

I am not hating on the company, but I for one do not support companies like this because they are profiting off of other companies R&D. Just my $.02

I also think 12kG would be pretty stiff, but bearable on the street.

I have sold a few sets of them and customers had no complaints. Hard to beat that price.

I have been running them for about 4 months now. The ride is not bad at all. I have no complaints and I've had many people in the car that said they love how it handles. $ of them being FD owners. Thanks Jason for the great deal on them.

They work together but I believe the majority of the stiffness is generated by the spring not the dampener.

Yeah, I've read that one already but am still drawn to the price/funtionality of the Megans. I'd be nice to hear some feedback from people who have driven on them.

Well, I met up with MoeJoe yesterday and he took me for a ride. He had them set to the middle adjustment recommended for street use. The ride was firm but not to harsh and with up and down adjustment from there I think I am sold.

Thanks for the ride Joe, nice meeting ya. After getting the car home last night it looks like I'll be down for a while so I wont be doin any racing this weekend, maybe when it warms up I'll get out that way.

Once spring gets here I should be able to make it a closer run for you. I was happy to meet with you and see/ride in an LS1 swap. I love the uniqueness of the rotary, but would like to build one of each. Both Black, of course. Haha.

I hope the car's alright. I'll get you the vid when I get a chance to get it off the cam.

rofl deleted post.

Since my last one was too inflamatory I'll tone it down:

How stupid do you have to be to not realize that 800$ chinese coilovers are gonna suck?

Depends on what your looking for I guess. I am not doing any competative track racing and would have been satisfied with my $150 tein stechs if they were firm enough, the ride height is perfect they are just too soft. So I realize my struts are worn too so I am looking for an upgrade and don't wish to spend 1500 or more on coilovers. They probably just copied someone elses design and saved on R&D which is now gonna save me some money also.

This decision may also have been driven by the fact that I have spent over 13k on getting this thing up and running/modifying over the last 4 months. If I had been driving the car for the last year or so with no major expenses I may have opted for the best but oh well. I was actually trying to buy these with the last of my (secret) paypal money that the wife doesn't see.
