I was looking at those too. The spring rates are probably too stiff for the street at 12/12kg. Also, I heard they were made in the same factory as the Apexi EXV coilovers. There's comparisons all over the internet about those two if you do a quick search on google. They resemble each other a lot and have same spring rate, same design. Priced fairly cheap too! Tell me how they are if you pick them up.
I happened to find a good used set of Tein Flex's for cheap, so I got those instead.

I agree with ^^. I have the Apexi EXV and looking at the pictures they are alike except for the Apexi is color red. Spring rates and adjustability are the same. If you can get it below $950 new then that will be a good buy.
So far my experience with them has been pretty good even with the high spring rates, the ride is bearable.

wow. that is a ridiculous spring rate. i'd sooner go for the ground control coil overs with correct springs rates and use them with some koni or tokico shocks.
anyone know if they have any service facilities to repair them if they blow? friend of mine bought some HKS coil overs off ebay and wound up throwing them in the garbage when one of the shocks blew and he couldn't get it serviced in the US.

12 kg/mm = 670 lb/in = ridiculously stiff, especially at the rear. I hope you like oversteer. Hopefully, the mounting plates are constructed such that you could swap out the stock springs and replace them with softer Eibach ERS (or similar). I'm glad to see some one else besides me and a couple of others bringing up the serviceability issue.
I'm still surprised how popular coilovers are, given that almost no FD owner actually needs them.

i know this isn't the same, bu i did own a megan racing turbo header/dp and a friend owned a n/a header and d/p from them with great success, outlasted my miata motor and still runnign on his with no cracks or warpage, i'm seeing and hearing megan racings stuff is pretty damn good quality. at least exhaust stuff is, i've seena few ppl with the cat backs. like i said, not the same subject but might be of some help as to quality. now serviceability is another issue on the shocks =-)

I was very close to installing my new GAB adjustables &RS*R race springs but when I added the cost including all new upper shock mounts it almost balanced out.
Plus I like the idea of adjusting height levels and damping since I sometimes switch from my 18" to 16" wheels (wheel diameters are slightly diff).

I actually needed the coilovers -- I needed flexibility in ride height, the ability to swap spring rates, a truly integrated damper/spring (like the Zeals), and guess what -- my car actually sees 10-12 track events a year!

Ask DamonB how effective you can be with Konis and stock springs....

I've finally put together the engine and should be up and running soon, so I'll let you know how they really feel.

So did anyone actually buy and install these? I am thinking about getting some but I am afraid of the 12KG. I have tein stech now and they are way to soft. How harsh is 12kg frt and rear?
