After Market Wheels - which are good?

Title says it. Are there any brands of after market wheels that are very good and therefore recommended? Likewise are there some out there that should be avoided? What have been your experiences?

Good - Enkei, Volk, Gram Lights, Advan, AME, Work, BBS, CCW

Excellent - Fikse, Kinesis

Bad - "Fast wheels" and things of the sort.

Strong, light, cheap. You can only pick two.

Pick a rim for the application. If you are looking for street rims, don't get some super lightweight rim especially if your streets aren't the best. Even though heavier rims are not always ideal, sometimes it beats bending them on some crappy roads.

Having said that, what do you need/want rims for? Just an updated look for the car? Rims to put track tires on? Rims to put drag radials on?

fyi. its not like the crappy wheels break everytime you hit a bump. thousands of people run shitty wheels like rota and sportmax without issue. just don't expect to get any respect at a meet. :P

that being said, i suggest saving up and buying something quality.

Look at the price...
In general, the more expensive the price, the better the quality...

iForged has been having some back feedback lately from what I can see. CCW was already on the list and HRE well how could I forget those. Very Very nice wheels but for the money I would def. go with Kinesis or Fikse in a heartbeat.

My old car had FM-10's and man in the pictures they looked hideous but in person damn they were so beautiful.

Go to www.autornd.com and click the "wheels" link on the left column... all the brands available there are acceptable, but the more reliable/well known brands (as mentioned before) would be ones like AME, Advan, Enkei, Gram Lights, Volk, Work... If you have questions about sizing, contact Rishie at AutoRnd there and he can help you out based on the look you want, price range, and what you want to use the car for.
