affordable options to replace ft lower ctrl arm bushings only?

Hi everyone.

Between buying a new house in the next month or so, and expecting a baby boy in the next few weeks, I can't yet afford to buy a suspension kit for my FD or buy new arms from Mazda.

I have the unobtanium kit right now but I don't track the car any more, and of course I have the noise issue with the front lower control arms.

I've tried to search the archives for economical options but I've been unplugged from the forum for about 4 years and have had limited success finding options.

Can I buy just the front bushings (seems unlikely)? Should I post a Wanted ad for used ft lower control arms (availability would seem rare)? Maybe I have no choice aside from buying new arms from Mazda (ouch$)?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

You can buy the bushings from Ray at Malloy Mazda. His contact info is in the 3rd gen FAQ under M - 888-533-3400

You could also tap the arms and install zerk fittings so you can grease the bushings.

Many ACE hardware stores can sell you everything the tap and zerks for less then $10.

You could probably do this without removing the control arms.
