Advan "usa" Is Coming Preorder Interest?

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to make announcement that Advan Wheels will have inventory in the states. We're in the process of setting up a preorder. Please visit our subforum to gauge interest.

ADVAN WHEELS GROUP BUY POLL

Here are the pics of their wheels. Enjoy. This means all Advans will be covered under manufacturer's warranty. No need to wait crazy amounts of time for popular models and vehicle makes.

Rishie

I have the Model 5's... (came with the car when I bought it, also came with the stockers)... anyway, the Model 5's need some refinishing (and the offset for the rear is wrong -- 275's rub)... I like the Model 5's... they look nice... too bad the offset is off or they'd be on the car now and not the stock wheels!

Arrrgh, so many things at once Do you know if the group buy will be happened after the first of the year?

this weekend I have HIN, next weekend is JGTC (flying into Ca for it), weekend after that is Christmas, then the week after that it's the first of the year (property taxes) Finally, after the second week of January I will have some funds free to pick up a set of the . . . . Sienna Gen II's. Do you have a timeframe as to when the group buy will take off? The Sienna's have been a dream wheel of mine since as far back as I can remember!

WOW, how times have changed!! I recall a little less than a year ago when I asked Rishie for a price on the Siena's and he gave me a song and dance that he didn't really like importing ADVAN...they were overpriced and not worth it....yadda yadda. Wanted to push me toward Volk/SSR/Enkei. Well, I ended up negotiating a price with Gruppe-S for $500 a rim, shipping included.....

Sorry haven't been around guys. Getting ready for JGTC.

I don't like importing gray market products. I honestly don't want to deal with warranty liability if being gray marketted. I still believe these are extremely overpriced CAST wheels, but to each their own. At least now I can sell these wheels knowing that I can support warranty issues.

I have witnessed many Advans crack at the spoke. The construction of many of these Advans is identical to the MAT Enkei Process of the RPF1 etc.... Those wheels are like half the price. So I wasn't giving you a song and dance. I am not a very good singer for one. My opinions remain the same but for those who really really like the styles of these wheels at least those customers have legitimate warranty coverage.

Peace, Rishie

ARD T2, if you don't like the Advans so much, what would you suggest to someone who is interested in the Model 5s as a suitable and similar looking alternative?

I've dreamed about a set of AVS VS-6's a long time ago...
Ever since they popped up on Trial 4 / 5!
I never had the money before due to not having a job, but since I just got a job offer, this might be a reality.

I was going to stick to a safe 17x8 F, 17x9R for my FC, but what the hell...
Might as well shoot for the 17x9 front if the offset is there.
I haven't checked the offsets for the new Model 06's, so I'm not sure if it's even possible?

Maybe something is up with Rishie? I was ready to buy wheels before Christmas, but he never responded to me other than to acknowledge that he got my message. I never got any of the information I asked for.

I chatted with his partner on AIM a few nights ago about it. He said they had been busy due to Christmas, which is understandable; however, I gave HIM the information as well. I STILL heard nothing from Rishie, and got no information from him, either.

I've decided that I'm going to get my wheels from another vendor. Maybe I'm odd, but I kind of like dealing with someone that is actually interested in selling their products.

I know that some people have had good dealings with him, but I know of a few people that have had to wait forever to get things from him. I'm not going to fall under the second category. Sorry.

In order to stay with the topic of this thread, I love the Siennas as well. I just can't quite afford them!

Reese

For the people who haven't gotten a response....now you understand my post on the previous page. One, I would never buy from him, Two, I wouldn't take his word on Advan's as gospel. I've been buying/using aftermarket rims for almost 10 years. I may not be a retailer but I feel as though I know what is a quality rim and what is not. IMO my Advan's were well worth the money and comparable to other wheels in its price range.

What do I know though, look at my vehicle's and I am obviously clueless.....

Guys,

I'm sorry about not being around. December had been extremely busy for us. I was not in the office due to JGTC and then Christmas and new years. I just got back online last week. For some reason the forum hasn't been sending me email notifications.

I have been unable to respond to any of the inquiries posted forward. We were heavily concentrating on liquidating inventory. I will most likely have another representative handle the board as I'm no longer accustomed to monitoring it like I used years back. My duties and responsibilites to the company have greatly increased.

To answer a couple of questions, Advan is a well made wheel but compared to existing wheels in the US market like Enkei RPF1, NTO3+M, etc... it's much more expensive. This is my very logical conclusion. Advan has beautiful wheels, I've always loved the look of them. At the prices they are sold for a assumed they were forged several years back only to find out that they are not.

My job is to provide information and sometimes my honesty tries to bite me but at least i'm being honest. People buy Advans because of the way they look, not for the construction or the weight so much. If that was the case most likely the end user would end up with a Volk Racing Forged Monoblock wheel as a better "value".

I hope my point can be made thru this simple deduction. I have in no way said I don't like the wheels or that they are not a well made wheel because that would eliminate a huge category of wheels that are being made with the same process by Enkei Japan. I'm simply stating that they are much more expensive than the majority of wheels made with the exact same process. Comparing apples to apples.

AM, regardless of your reasons for making your comments I will stand by the same point I have always made and that's one of value. To many "value" isn't as important as what the Advan wheel can offer and that's a unique style of good construction and finish. It's also rare to find the variety of one piece and two piece "sporty" wheels under a single brand. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's important that the beholder be provided enough information to make an educated decision.

NOTA944, I replied to your PM before even looking at this thread. I do apologize. My posting a "GI" right before a major event, christmas, new years, closing the books for the year, and liquidating inventory was a very stupid move.

To all who had inquired I will gladly spend time this weekend replying to everyone with pricing.

Sorry about that POM, I pm'd you with a question clarifying which gen II you are referring to.

Unfortunately I cannot post pricing here. We are bound by contract. If you guys want this one time deal then it will have to be tedious for me and i'll need to pm each of you. It sucks for me to but that's what i gotta do.

Generation II's

I'm interested in the generation II's, black with the red lip in "15" or "16" inch. How much and how can we talk about shipping. Thanks.
