Advan AD08 sizes/fitment

I'm going to get some of these tires and I'm wondering if they run wide or skinny or what. My wheels are 9.5 and 10.5 and I was planning on getting 255/35 and 295/30, but I'm wondering if the 295/30 might be too wide. I had some 295/30 HTRZ III on my 10.5 before and it fit perfectly but I'm wondering about this tire. I've searched for pics of them mounted on wheels but haven't found anything. Thanks!

10.5" is the width they recommend for that size. Should be perfect. I want a set for my 10" rears, but am afraid they'll look stuffed on there.

Yokos and Dunlops in general run pretty wide for their sizes. But the Overall diameters for those sizes are the same, which is ideal when trying to run staggered sizes.

You'll have more grip than you know what to do with

Well I already have really good grip with the tires I currently have...the only problem is they are monster-truck tall haha.

CA Now normally, I don't like using a thick rubber, but uh...

As GoodfellaFD3S said, they're super-sticky.

Here's a 285/30-18 on a 10.5 wheel. The 285/30-18 size tire has exactly the same circumference as the stock FD tires. I know because I still have the stock FD tires I took this pic because it best shows the *slightest* amount of "stretch" on the 10.5 wheel, so a 295 should give you a perfectly vertical sidewall.

I know how the pic looks, but trust me, it's 11.25" wide for my 285's. (For those reading this who don't already know, a 10.5" wheel is actually closer to 11.5" wide overall.)

Hope this helps. The AD08's are truly awesome tires, and they're not loud at all.

I'm going to swap over to these in the Spring when my car is back on the road. Should have spent the money on them the first time. Going with 285/30s on all 4 corners of my CCWs. Thanks for the pictures which make me wish I didn't live in the Northeast!

Thanks juicyjosh. I guess I should have posted that I already have them on the car now HAHA, but your post will help others looking at these too. These pics aren't the greatest at showing fitment but you're right, the 295/30 fits the 10.5 perfectly, and the 255/35 fits the 9.5 perfectly too.

Your 285 doesn't really looked stretched at all on your 10.5 either though. Crazy. Although it's only 10mm of difference so I guess it doesn't make that much of a difference really. I do like these tires. I haven't really taken any curves or anything like that just yet though.

After years of using YOKOHAMAS, I am pised off that they no longer make 275s for 17" rims for their best street tires.
I am forced to use 255s now on my 10" wide rims.

Yeah there is definitely a lack of size range for a lot of tires, and it sucks that one of the best brands is doing it too.

Yup. 17" rims are dying for high performance applications. Most cars are on 19's and 20's.

That really sucks because I was planning on getting some 17s for track wheels.

I'm running 18 inch RPF1s on the track and have been happy with their performance..... why 17s?

I'd heard mostly of people choosing to run 17s on the track, less rotational mass blah blah blah HAHAHA. Is that a good enough answer Rich? LOL Maybe I'll have to choose to keep Simon's RPF1s then instead of selling them to our friend haha.

It's a bit of a wash. Most times, 18" rims are heavier, but the tire is lighter. 17" tires are typically cheaper, but they are also taller which affects gearing and won't let you lower it as much up front. 18" w/ shorter sidewall tend to be more heat sensitive.
