Question 99 Rims; What Size Tire Are You Running?

Thanks.

Also what brand, because I find it hard to find (rear) 255/40's and (front) 235/45's of the same?!?!

Where are you looking? Those are extremely common sizes.

B-stone S03's and Toyo T1S's are both available... and i'm sure countless other brands as well.

You can also go with a 245/40. I'm running 255s on all 4 but I have 4 8.5s.

^ nevermind that.

245/40's fronts and 255/40's rear be ideal?

would Y rated not be a good idea for autoX?

don't think I'll see 189mph...or whatever.

or should I look for a Z rated tire?

Y and Z rated basically mean the same thing. Don't go below a V rated tire tho. Just get a good performance tire and you will be fine. Use the tire rack. They have good comparisons and feedback features to help you.

265s are a little too big for an 8.5 inch rim.
