'99 J-Spec Wheels

Anyone know anything about these?

Size? Weight per? Etc.

If my memory serves me the 93-95 wheels were lighter than any aftermarkets, including Fikse. This was one of the main advantages. I never changed them out because of this, but I allways wanted larger wheels.

Anyone have specs they can share?

I'll be the first one to say it. Search...

Not trying to be mean or anything, but a lot of people seem to be annoyed when no one searchs.

From what I can remember they are 17" wheels. I don't know what the weight was on them though.

Yeah, your thatoneguy allright... that one guy that allways states the obvious.

J/K. I did search, there was one post and the guy claimed to have weighed them himself. Not sure how acurate of a job that was.

I was looking for factory specs - Rim Size, Width, Weight, recommended tire sizes - you know the stuff you want to know about a 1700 dollar set of wheels before you buy them.

The search is there, I used it - then I posted. Don't be a Jar-Koff, if you can't help then....

Well, that 1200 includes shipping from Japan. Those are the ones Jesse Lau is offering up, right?

Also, I think the weights of those wheels (amongst many other parts for the car) are listed here.

I have them, rim size is 17x8 front 17x8.5 rear. offset - who cares, they fit since they were made for out car. weight, front rim weighed 16 lbs, rear weighed between 16.5 and 17, closer to 16.5 than 17.
Nice looking wheel, light weight, not to mention the price Jesse sells them at. Almost 200 of the 1200 is shipping charges, so the wheels are 1000 basically and 200 for shipping. Buy them, you'll like them.

The 17" rims are only form the type RS, the rest have the same size as the 93-95 but with different styling.

They're standard on the RS model(since '96) but optional on the other models just like the optional 17" BBS wheels. The reason is that the RS also comes with larger brake rotors front/rear that won't fit with a 16" wheel. BTW, an interesting fact about the redesigned 99+ 16" wheels is they're each ~1lb lighter over the older style.

I like the BBS wheels that came on the RZ model, I think in 96 or 97 they look awsome on a FD.

Yep, the RZ wheels are bad ***. Same with the new Spirit R. Heres the site. I'm thinking of just getting BBS RS II's and powdercoating them. http://www.mazda.co.jp/history/Archi...rx7.200010/rz/
