7" or 8" wide on fc...?

i am debating with myself about this and looking for possible benefits and downfalls for each setup. i have a gtu so its not a power monster, especially with it being a street legal car in CA. of course, i still would like it to break loose if need be. would this still be possible with a 16x8 wheel or would i be better off sticking with a 16x7? thanks for the help.

Doesn't matter...the weight differences are usually very small.

I weighed my 17" x 8.0" Volks versus my 17" x 9.0", and they were within HALF A POUND of each other.
I was surprised.

keep your eyes out for a used set of JDM alloys like ssr/work/enkei/etc, in 16x8 fronts and 16x9 rears, theyre out there and pretty cheap compared to 17" setups and if you dont have a lot of power and still want to break the tires loose, just run a 235 out back and a 215 up front.
