i would def want the concave look on both front and rear. is there any way to do this w/o ruining sidewall strength?
in fact you will have incredibly crisp turn in with a stretched sidewall setup like that 235 on a 10" wheel. and for some specific tires like the falken fk452, the tire is designed to be stretched to a certain point and the tire runs wider than other mfg'ers models in the same "size" so its not always just by the numbers.

I would think a 245 or 255 would be a better solution in front on the 17x10 +35 but it depends on how tall the tire is and how wide it is in the real world, not just calculating the specs from the size description on the sidewall.

Where did you order your wheels from? Also the tires? You have the same setup as me and I also had those tires. Great deal.

i know from experience federals, which are awesome and very nice priced tires, are wider. i just picked up some 235/40/18 wanli things, for cheap just to try out, and they are definintly not as wide as the 235 feds on the car right now. from now on im going 245 when i try out other tires.

so that is something to consider. i also use 215 feds on the front right now which are just as wide(wider streteched) than the average 225.

but im putting on rpf1s, so no more fn's for me.

Matt, unless for aesthetic purposes, really no reason to run a 10 inch wide wheel for that size tires. 17x9 +45 and 255/40 work great.

i had thought about doing the machining, but then worried about the structure of the rim being damaged.

i am running KEI Office alpha XT coilovers, so yes it is lowered quite a bit.

goodfella, thanks alot, that means alot coming from someone with an FD as beautiful as yours. i just put some feed sides on it last week, so there will be some pics for me to post in a day or two!
