Nope. It's based on width, not offset. Read the thread...

i'm planning on doing 18x9.5 +45mm 285/30/18 all ... i'm hoping there will only be a slight fender roll required

Matt, I would really like to see how that looks. You thinking black or silver?

the polished black with the polished lips to match the color theme of the car. the 18x9.5 +45's have some real nice and subtle concavity to them... can't wait

question for those who have 17x10 all around.. how is handling? do you feel a difference with turning since the fronts are 10 wide?

i have bordr? over fenders.. (same as origin) theyre 20mm wider and im 95% sure they open the wheel well more aswell... will i rub? with 17x10? (no clue what offset to go with suggestions is appriciated)

because i believe that front bumper was designed for the stock turn signals and for black covers that go on top of the stock turn signals .

Sort of like the mazdaspeed gtc front bumper uses 99 lights and comes with those dark covers.

welp just got my new setup installed this weekend. this should clear up all the questions on the 18x9.5 concavity... it's there just not near as extreme as the 17x10. here's the specs on the new setup:

rear rims: Black Polished 5Zigen FN01R-C 18x9.5 +45mm
rear tires: Sumitomo HTR-Z III 275/35/18
rear weight: 48.0 lbs

front rims: Black Polished 5Zigen FN01R-C 18x8.5 +38mm
front tires Sumitomo HTR-Z III 255/35/18
front tires: 46.5 lbs

the fitment is perfect... no rolling of the fenders required. the handling is night vs. day compared to my old setup.

i hope you have fender flares or something b/c those will surely not fit stock FD fenders!

that's because i'm assuming proper tires matched to the rim size... you guys are seriously ok with running 245's on a 10" wide rim?

^ really not that bad of a stretch. they arernt gonna fall off or anything. you just end up with stiffer sidewalls. usually a good thing.

they will fit. were not gonna trick you again lol. I usually change up the rear tires sizes 235/45, 245/40, 255/40
heres some pics so you can get an idea of how they fit.

What good are 10" wide wheels when you are only running 245s? Why not run either a smaller lighter wheel that matches the tire size or up your tire size to match your wheel width?

you can change the wheel/tire combinations for different desired RPM ranges for that course. just like how you would change your spring rates or tire pressure to get the best results. for us drifters you'll see mild to extreme tire stretching to best suit the engine output or the course layout to make the grip limits of tire more predictable. we can go on all day about whats the best setup for what but lets not argue. i dont wanna make this thread phail
