5 lug conversion
Hey guys im lookin to convert my fc to a 5 lug since i somehow grabbed a 4 lug. my question is what exactly would i need to purchase to do the conversion. and i was also thinkn i could just go buy an fd setup and that be fine but wasnt sure. i drive an 86 fc

you could not use the FD set up as it is a double wishbone suspension where as the FC is not, it has a mcpherson front end with a trailing arm rear end.
I am in the middle of doing this swap also. i went to a junk yard and grabbed the front spindles so far. I took the shock off, and unhooked the hub from the lower control arm. I also detached the steering linkage. Simple as that. Both front and rear will require longer brake lines. I would not reuse old ones.
The rear is a little more complicated. More points of contact, and I need to find a set still for myself.
I am not sure if all axle shafts are the same length/spline pattern between the open diff/LSD for the turbo and non turbo models. I would like to know if its universal across all models.
What I do know is there is one bolt holding the shock on, that comes off easily. There is also one bolt holding onto the top of the hub from what I saw. after this I stopped trying to remove the parts because I noticed the caliper brakect was broken off on the car.

thanks drift but i think i may have mis typed it i was wanting to convert it to 5 lug like the fd's have not an fd set up but so i can use 5 lug rims instead of 4

Wheel selection and the 4pot calipers and rear vented rotors.
But you can put the 4pots on a 4lug car. see :
