3rd gen on a 2nd gen

I'm wondering if 3rd gen wheels will fit on a 2nd gen? I know it's been asked, but does anyone know for sure?

Thanks, Ed

Yes, but you will need spacers. I would reccomend the H&R hubcentric studded spacers. This wil alleviate your need to take apart the hub and install longer studs with the cheap kind of spacers.

I always reccommend the 15mm spacers and they will run $240.00 shipped for four of them. If interested let me know.

Thanks, Rishie

I have them on my car right now. 3rd gen wheels powder coated white. the only way to get them on the FC is with spacers at least in the front. they will fit in the rear with out but they stick WAY inside. you need 25mm spacer to put them on.

Im going to be selling my wheels and spacers in about a month as Im getting the racing hear c35 wheels.

Where did you get your spacers from and how much did they run you? How much will you be asking for your wheels and spacers?

I am still sticking with the 15's, because a 25mm 8" wheel on the FC is just too low if you're dropping it in the front. I have seen it and from the pic you can see that it comes out to the very edge of the fender.

If you do the 15mm spacers you will be able to retain more travel without problems, especially when lowered with coilovers or such. However, if you can get a good deal on them and they're 25's go for it, but it will not be the best fitment.

The best fitment would be to use a 10-12mm spacer in the front and a 15-25 in the rear, depending on tire size used.

This would effectively turn the +50 FD wheel into a +38-40 and the rear to a +25-35. Now these are well known to be good fitting offsets in the 8" wheel.

I run +31's on the FC up front on a 17,8 and that's as far out as I would take it. I had a customer of mine buy the 25's on a whim and when he showed me the car w/225/50's I told him he should have run 15mm spacers.

If the A032R's work fine then use those tires. Because different tires have different section widths you could run into a problem with different tires. So the car's I've seen with standard street performance radials, have not fit properly inside of the fender, they are on the fender.

See ya, Rishie
