315's on an FD?

Hey all.

I wanted to know has anyone in here ever tryed to fit 315's or larger on an FD w/out a wide bodykit? Right now i have 18x10 285's at the back but want to go larger.
Would i have to roll my fenders or anything like that to fit them on?

Thanks in advance.
Chad

I know a guy that has 315s on some forgline wheels. He is running the M2/AD setup for suspension and he slightly rolled the fenders out. He also has 275s up front.

Hey spyfish007,

Are you taking about that guy ( I think his name is maxcooper )that does road racing? Damn, 275's in the front ?!?! I have 255's up front and thought that was the biggest you could go without any problems. Thank you so much for the info, gladly appreciated it.

Thanks again,
chad

Kevin Wyum, the guy that was making the ASP intercoolers years ago runs 315's on aset of CCW wheels. he has the M2 rear toe links. i think they give you a little more room under there than the stockers

Kevin had to roll his rear fenders, I believe.

I had 275x40/17 on 17x10 wheels on all 4 corners. Now I have 18x10s. The rears arfe 285, the fronts 265.

No fender rolling required. No rubbing at all. Fit perfect.

BUT: you need 2.5" coil-overs. You won't be able to get those sizes on w/o those shocks.

For more details, see the URL below, and go to: Upgrades --> Wheels & Tires.

Cheers,

Thanks for the info guys.....

Im going to be ordering Kinesis K58's ( 17X8F 17X11R ) soon for the new tire setup (along with rolling the fenders) and sell my previous 17's ( Fikse FM/5's ) to a friend that keeps on asking me for them.

Thanks again

Just to clarify, it is the trailing links that give you more room for wider wheels rather than the toe links. M2 sells both.

I run 18x10" CCWs with 285/30-18s on all four corners on the track and they don't rub at all. I would not be surprised if you could fit wider tires in back, but it sounds like you'll have to roll the fenders to fit 315s based on what other people have posted here.

I think the trailing links are $190 for the pair. They are pretty easy to install.

M2 Web Site - look for the Competition Trailing Arms under Suspension.
