i read that 255 is the ideal size for a 9 inch rim (offset is +45) but i am thinking of doing 245 instead to prevent any rubbing issues. i have read some people get rubbing in front and some dont. anyways is this considered a "Stretched" fitment? i dont want to do anything like.

Ehhh stretch, depends on your point of view, I say no. For fitment the 245 will help. I have 235/40 on my 9", stretch yes, but VIP stretch....no. You want 225 or 215 for a vip stretch... But I am sure you are not after that, perhaps look into a 235. On my RPF1s there is JUST enough rubber to prevent any damage to lip when laying it down (exactly how I wanted them), however all tires stretch differently, I run Falken 452's.

What is your ride height measured to the fender lip?

I'm running 255/40/17 on 17x9+45. I ran Pirelli P600, Kumho MX and now Star Specs in this size. The only issues I had were:
1. when the shock was blown
2. occasionally a light rub when I drive hard and fast over large dips in the road. And I do mean large dips. I think it actually rubs on the little screw that is supposed to hold the fender liner at the top of the fender lip. I don't actually need that screw in that location and have been tempted to remove it and do some 'testing'

I'm not sure if my fender is rolled since I'm not the original owner. It doesn't look like it but I don't have anything to compare to.

Not sure if that is a stretched fitment and since I've never tried that size tire, I can't comment any further with any degree of certainty.

That plain isn't a stretched fitment.

225 (mm) is OEM size on the FD's 8" wide OEM rims, 245 is 20mm wider for a 9" rim... with 25.4mm/in there's really no way anyone could possibly think a 245 on a 9" rim is stretched.
