1st Gen Tri-link, which to get?

Ground Control and G Force both make one. The GC one is $175, the G Force unit is almost $300. Do either have an advantage over the other one? Which one is the better unit?

Sorry I'm not sure if this is a big help, but try searching in the first-gen forum. I know they talked about it somewhere. Otherwise I don't know much about it but I know it will put you into a different class for racing.

I think the Ford V8 takes care of Fugging up my classing all to hell. At this point, i'm just building a weekend car that I can take to driver's ed events and such.

actually, your best bet would be in "racing" section of the forum, not teh 1st gen...

I've heard more people go g-force and rave about it than GC, but I don't relaly know the difference....

honestly? I'd email the folks at g-force and straight up ask Mr Susko why his is better.... probably give you the best answer you could get...

ground control makes stuff for the masses at a decent price..

g-force makes the "ultimate" setup based on exactly what you want to do..

If you've not heard of them, where have you been hiding?

Another option is ISC Racing Services. They also have a tri-link, along with other interesting performance mods. I spoke with Mike Van Steenburg, who is the RX-7 expert, and he seems to know his stuff. Interestingly enough, I was referred to him by Mazda Competition when they found out that I wasn't bound by any class rules.

Their third link kit is $210, and their Panhard Bar Kit is $75.

BTW -- I was the author of a similar thread in the racing section, and the general consensus was that the tri-link is great, although there may be some durability concerns with some of the setups under severe duty.

Please keep us updated on what you find and which you decide to go with.
