Anyone know? I know rs-r springs might work but i like the feel of progessive springs and i don't want to get coil-overs.

EDIT: I forgot, i own a 93 touring if that helps.

Thats a very low offset for the front and with that width....I really don't think it will work even if you do roll the fenders. I used to have 18x8 +42 in front with eibachs and stock touring shocks and rubbed all the time going into parking lots.

they will work. mine are 18x9 +40 in the front with 255/35's with no rubbing. just be careful going at sharp inclines with the wheel turned a lot

Of course it works for you, you have a Tein Flex system w/ ride height adjustment which you didn't bother to disclose. The poster of this thread has a H&R/Tokico setup. He's going to rub unless he goes with a coilover system and/or rolls the fenders or gets the same wheels but with a narrower width up front or w/ a higher offset (minimum +45).

the tire to spring clearance for him will still be fine. it would be the same as running 245's on stock wheels, which i did when i had my h&r's. the ride height isn't an issue. the h&r's don't sit as low as the car does now, so rubbing won't be an issue

Rubbing tends to happen over bumps and such. In this case, that is typically dependent on the spring rate. I would highly doubt that the H&R spring rate is much more than 340 or so in the front while most coilovers are 500+ in the front. That's a big difference and most of the time the difference between rubbing and not rubbing (at the same or close ride height).

Damn, this isn't looking good i was looking at a set of new Enkei RP03's . . . they're cheap and look good at the same time. I wanted the same setup all around so i can rotate the tires when needed. The 18x8 +40 offset might work but i figure if i'm going to get rims i might as well add a inch for better traction and wider tires. Here's a link to the rim . . . http://www.enkei.com/HPSpecPAGES/rpo3Specs.html

apex_sideway,

Since you already have Tokico's, you can add the Ground Control coilover kit for $600 and solve any rubbing problems you might run into. You still may need to roll the front fenders a little, but that would be it.

I found a better solution but it's a different Enkei wheel, It's the rpf1 17x9 +45 . . . i think these will do nicely even though i did originally want 18" rims. Thanks everyone and if i decide to buy them i'll post pics.
