18x8 to Narrow?
iam looking to replace my 16x8 ssr integrals with something a little bit more show for the street. The current set of wheels iam looking at are 18x8 with a 45mm offset, i know the offset is perfect but i was wondering is the 18x8 wheel to narrow in the rear to get some decent size rubber in the back that will help me control my newly acquired power(single turbo) ? also how much rubber to you think i can stuff on to an 8inch rim safely?

You're looking at a 245/35 18 tire at most, although 8" is not really wide enough to properly support that width. Yes, they are too skinny for the rears, especially when considering the high rwhp you will be running.

Not if you run proper width wheels up front!
Since you are running single turbo, you need some serious tire out back. If you want to balance the car, you will need to run wider tires up front as well, which requires more careful wheel selection.
You can run 17 or 18x9 up front with 255 tires, and 17 or 18 x 10 in rear with 275/285 tires. This will keep the car fairly balanced and give you enough rubber to control the car.
At the least, you should run 17x9 or 18x9 all around with 255 tires.
