18x8.5 and 18x9.5 wheels offset !!!!!

Hi guys....I have my eye on a set of wheels, they're 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear with a +35 offset for both front and rear.

Based on what I've read here.....fronts will rub for sure, right ????
Rears should clear without a problem.

I have a '94 FD with H&R springs...

Just need some opinions before I choose to purchase them.....
Don't feel like doing any fender work.

Thanks in advance.

fronts will likely rub. Rears might also but depends on tire sizes. The H&R drop pretty tight up front. I had them on my car and it bent the hell out of my fenders before i had them rolled. and my wheel offsets are +40 with tires 255 35 18 and 285 30 18.
8.5 and 9.5 width. You can go a little narrower on tire selection and it can help as well as camber. But your really better off with a +43 or +45 area. Anything more will rub the stock spring. Fender liner will take a beating also.
I switched to HKS super sport springs because the dropped less and had higher spring rates. It helped but still I ended up having the fenders rolled. Still touches sometimes slightly.

Yep, yep.

Anything more will rub the stock spring.
Actually, that's anything less.

225's in the front and 265's in the rear and you should be fine. I have ebaich springs from pettit and I never rub in the front and only once in the rear on a tight turn with a bump. I have the same offsets and size rims. You might be able to get away with 235's in the front.

your car will likely understeer quite a bit more with offset tires that far apart. as we all probably know the wider the rear tire the more it will tend to understeer. if you are concerned at all about your handling, you probably want to look into wheels with different offset that will allow you to run tire sizes that are closer together. I am running 255Front and 275rear and it definitely feels less willing to attack the turns.

anyhow, just a thought.
