18x7.5 front for an FD?
18x7.5 front for an FD?
So I found a nice set of wheels but the fronts are a 18x7.5 and rear is 18x9 with an offset of +43 all around.
So my question is: Can I compensate for the smaller width with more tire for the front wheels? How would that affect my handling and would the wheel look funny? Thanks for the help guys

I had no issues on my BMW, I had 17x7.5's on the front with 235-45's and 17x8.5 in the rear with 255-40's.
I autocrossed with it for 3 years and never had an issue with traction/bubbling or anything.

Seriously do not do it. It will reduce handling and will look dumb. An 8-inch wide wheel already looks skinny at 18" diameter anyway....
Also, in an 18" wheel, the widest tire you should run on a 7.5" width is a 225/40.

yes it will, if you just want to pimp around town I guess you can do it....but it seems like you are worried about looks and a 7.5 will look funny.
It's your money, will it make a difference, yes. Competitive autocrossing, YES. Spirited driving, yes. Daily driving? No.
