17x9 Gramlight 57 pro, time to sell? 550hp

Iv had some gorgeous gramlight 57 pros on my black fd, favorite rims in the world. Currently running 17x9 w a 255mm on the back end. Plenty of rubber for 300rwhp twins.

HOWEVER, this weekend im swapping in a ported motor with 1680cc/850cc walbro 400lph fuel and 60-1 turbo soon swapping to a borg warner s336 with goals of 550 wheel hp on meth injection.

Im afraid to use this power on the street 255s are going to be a dangerous joke. Iv never felt this kind of power in an FD and I want to be prepared before I blow myself off the road. What is the largest I can go for effective traction on a 9 inch wheel? 285? Or is it time to sell these babies and go for something wider ie 11inchers?

275/40r17 Mickey ET streets. Be prepared to break things. They hook very well.
