17x9.5 fd wheel fitment

i am buying forged wheels this christmas and the wheel company can make any offset i want and i was wondering what kind of offset and backspacing to run 17x9.5's up front and not stick out past the fender.

also if anyone could give me the offset i would need to run 17x11's in the rear with pettit flares, i want to run 315 nitto drags.

thanks in advance

42 to 50 mm offset. Make sure the caliper clearance is adequate. You need at least 43 mm of pad height for '99 Type RS front brake calipers. You could try 40 mm offset, but I'm waiting on maxcooper to chime in if he's tried his 9.5 x 17, 265/40-17 SE37K up front

"Pare ko", isn't this for your rear wheels? The guy wanted to know about 9.5 wide fronts, and for CE28Ns, the proper front wheel offset for 9.5 wide x 17 will be 47 mm "sigi na!"

Since you get to have a custom offset, go with +50 offset. You will have to verify that you clear all of the suspension pieces but should be OK.

Why have you settled on that size, BTW? You could very easily run 255/40 17s on a 17x9 wheel, which is a guaranteed fitment at +45 to +50.

Yeah, true, I have this setup, now. Still I'd like to push the envelope and go with 0.5-inch wider with same tire size (255/40-17). The slighter wider rim will lend more rubber contact patch for the occasional autocross/open-track event. For the public roads, 9 x 17, 255/40-17 is more than enough contact.
