17x9.5 38mm offset 275 40 tire fit?

Doing a little research. Will that offset fit neatly in the fender well in the rear? Thanks guys.

I have heard these numbers before as a setup that "fits" but, based on my car w/ 17x9" +45 w/ 275/40, tires that seem to BARELY miss the fender lips, i'd say it'll be awfully close. Might depend on the actual brand of the tire.

Based on what I've been told, a 17" rim w/ that size tire will need aftermarket endlinks to fit.

I don't think so... if it'll have a problem, it'll be to the ouside, not the inside.

Yes, it will fit.

I have Volk TE37 17X9.5 +40 offset with 275/40/17 Yoko A032R.

Thanks for the link Kyle. According to Sleep only a 40-50 offset will work. Darn! Had my eye on a set of Enkei Rpf1's on ebay. If anyone wants to risk it they're going for 964.00. Great price but I can't run the tire I want.
