Basically, it's because they look good and will only cost me $675 with tires. Damn good condition too. Too good a deal to pass up. If I don't like it, I can always sell it again. Thanks man.

Yes, they will definately fit.

HOWEVER: Enkei did NOT make any 17x8 RS Evolution. Whoever told you that these are 17x8 is smoking some really good crack. The largest width to the RSE is 7". Period.

I would strongly recommend against these wheels. They will look decent, but the performance of your car will be severely compromized. Considering the fact that the stock tires are too skinny, 10mm smaller is a really bad idea.

Stick with the stock rims

Enkei DID make 17x8 in in the RS-E, which was a true three piece design.

I used to have a set.....

Okay, did some more research. Aparently, according to Enkei (just got off the phone), the RS-E and the RS Evolution are two different wheels. They are both produced by Enkei, and they both look exactly the same (with the exception of the center emblem).

I guess Enkei had produced the RS Evolution in very limited quantaties. Discount Tire later hired Enkei to build them an exact replica for a lower cost. They called it the RS-E. They are both commonly confused

The RS-E was limited in size to 16x7 and 17x7. The RS Evolution was also slightly limited in sizes, but it was available in 17x8, as well as 17x9.

I appologize for my misleading statement above. I thought they were the same wheel.

Anyway, if you still decide to go with these, make sure you check the back of the wheel. The size will be listed on it as well as if it truely is an RS Evolution, or an RS-E. Real RS Evolutions are apparently pretty rare.

Also, I would still advise you to stay away from these wheels. The are extremely heavy, and you will sacrifice performance (especially with those tiny tires). Also, 215 tires are really small for an 8" rim. Yes, technically they fit, but that is not the optimal size tire for that rim.

Again, sorry for the above statement. I hope I've been at least a little help.

Clarification

Actually for clarification sake the RS-E discount tires store branded wheel it is a ONE-PEICE wheel with the obvious casting and showing of once peice type.

The RS-Evolution is a 3-PEICE wheel and has rivets all the way around the wheel, there is no need to "read" anything, just turn the wheel over or look in front:

Evolution

RS-E

if you look closely you will notice the E has a crap center cap and "stick-on" rivets the Evolution has real 3 peice and rivets and the center is nice and says evolution etc.

By far and away one of the nicest rims EVER made by Enkei.
IMHO
