17x7 (front) and 17x9 (rear) on my FC

Hey guys. I have a 87 TII. I want to put these one. I did research and wanted to 'confirm' with you guys. LOL! Well, I want to put these on my FC:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...AQ:MOTORS:1123

And I used this to figure out what I would have to do:

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Anyway, it said:

Inner Clearance: 20mm or LESS (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)

Outer Position: EXTEND and extra 30 mm(position of the outside edge of the wheel)

If you guys looked at the wheels: this is what it says (hope it helps)

Size: 2 Front Rims are 17X7 about 1 1/2" Lip. 23.5 lbs ea. +38 offset

Size: 2 Rear Rims are 17X9 about 2 2/3" Lip. 25.5 lbs ea. +35 offset

If I am reading this right, or thinking right. The front should be ok, but the rear I would need a big spacer right? Or better yet, what would I need to make them fit in the rear?

Should fit fine, but you'll be much better off running some 17x8's up front, as that'll allow you to run wider tires to offset the understeer that the stagger will give you.

I run 17x7.5 or 17x7 for the front and rear is 17x8, I think for the front is either one of those size but between there. no understeer. very good handling.

Yes, but with what tire sizes, what suspension and what power. It also depends on if you're talking about oversteer due to the cornering balance of the car or from the fact that you can overpower the rear tires to get power on oversteer. The two are very different. With lower levels of power on a stock suspension, or even with many aftermarket suspensions, running more tire in the rear will lead to more understeer. Besides, moving up to a 17x8 and a wider tire in front will make the car grip better.
