17X7 42mm offset 225/45/17
17X7 42mm offset 225/45/17 Motegi FF5's. Will these rims fit on my car? I searched, but couldn't find anything. S4, BTW No suspension done, but will be going with coilovers sometime in the near future. Either that, or Illuminas with the RB suspension package. Thanks

They might rub on the springs up front. Stock TII wheels are 16x7 with 40mm offset and I've read that they can run 225's but there's sometimes problems running that wide of a tire with that offset, and those are 2mm closer to the springs. My wheels (Mustang Gt wheels) are 17x8 32mm offset and I've got 225/45/17's and I have absolutely no rubbing with stock suspension, even at the race track. You could run those wheels with a small spacer up front and go with longer wheel studs (ARP makes studs for late model Camaro's, firebirds and Corvettes that fit perfectly) if they do rub. Also a 7.5 inch wide wheel is the reccomended wheel width for that tire size, although you can usually go for 7-8.5 inch width with that size tire.

I think 42mm offset would be a bit much. I'm running 225s on +35s and they look a bit funny in the back (I'd like the wheel to stick out a bit more towards the fender). They'll PROBABLY (I can't say for sure) fit, but they won't quite look right.

For $350 go for it! Try it out and if it doesn't fit you can pick up some spacers and longer studs for not too much (maybe under $100, studs would be ~$50). ARP makes studs for late model Corvettes, Firebirds, etc that fit perfectly (I have them and I can vouch for the perfect fit). They make the rears alot longer, but the fronts only get a little longer, but then again you'll need a spacer under 10mm in the front. In the back if it fits but looks funny leave it alone. Spacers aren't the best thing in the world, they can lead to the studs breaking (although the ARP's should be more than sufficiently strong) especially if you run thick spacers, so don't just get them for looks. They should be fine, especially if you never track the car, but you know, better safe than sorry, so I'd only run them if i had to.
