Yes a 17x10" wide wheel will fit the rear no problem with the correct offset.

My old set of Fikses were 17x10 with a 275/40 out back, +45 offset. No issues, but I do have coilovers and RE trailing arms.

There's a guy on here named AHarada with a FD that uses 17x10+35 with 255's all around.

a few guys are doing it. i ordered this setup. yet i have my doubts. big doubts. as i was having trouble fitting 8.5 +40 with 235 on the front granted my fender isnt rolled and i plan to do that but we are talking a muhc much bigger setup now.

Matty, I ran 245/40s on a 17x8.5 +38 Fikse for many many years with no problems at all. I had the ride height very low too

Rich most likely had/has his fenders rolled as well. You would have been fine with your fitment had your rolled the fenders. IMO, if you are going with aftermarket wheels, just get the fenders rolled.

Then yours must have been bent up already a little more than normal. I grabbed the fender lip every drive when I ran 17x9 +43 with 255's. I even picked a tire that was a little smaller to aid in rubbing but in the end, I had to roll the fenders (which I should have done to begin with).

I run 275's on a 17x9.5 +43 wheel in the rear.

The tires haven't touched the fenders yet, but I also run 500lb springs back there.
