Question 17 Inch Rims!

Im looking into purchasing 17" rims for my 88 GXL. Question is, what is the min and max in tire size and offset that i can use?????
I'm looking into getting white or black rims, but most of them are 17x7.5. Is that good enough?????? If anyone can give me some numbers for examples i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

No that's not good enough, maybe in the front but with a +35mm offset. Which is a pretty difficult offset to find.

I have several options for you, but take all things into consideration.

1. Budget
2. Width of the wheels
3. Weight and Fitment of the wheels

The best bang for the buck is the Enkei RPO1, you can do a 17,8 front and rear with 225/45's rotatable. Great fitment. I just ordered 4 sets for some forum guys as well as myself.

Because you are naturally aspirated weight should be your primary concern with max width as a constant. In that case, you would be stuck with the RPO1. This wheel is being discontinued so act quickly. I think the set was $675.00 or $725.00 shipped. You can do a 18,9.5 in the rear as well.

The max common tire fitments you can do are 225's up front and 255's in the rear. Can do 235's and 265's but requires a less common offset.

PM me when you are ready and I can put together your forum deal. We carry all lines for the most part, but if you want max fitment go with my suggestions. I will work within your budget and take all things into consideration.

Good Luck,

Hey Rishie. What would the offset be for those 8's in the front and some 9's in the rear?
