16x8 rims i need correct offset
16x8 rims i need correct offset
I want to buy some sport max's that are 16x8 in my lug pattern and have a +0mm offset. Will this offset be ok for my fc? If not let me know what kind of offset i should use for this 16x8 rim. Thanks
NO!
perfect offset or 8" wide is between +35 ans +25, my 17x8"s are sitting at +28 up front, fits perfect, clears struts and springs by more than enough and sits flush with the fender i'm running a 225/45/17 tire.

you can get them to work as long as you have suspension and some camber plates. and a proper fit tire. i run right around a +5 in the front. roll the inner fenders for sure
16x8 +30 is what I have and +32 (popular offset) would be better. 225/50 tires to be exact. To hell with aesthetics and looking "flush", I prefer ZERO issues with rubbing and having to roll metal to make something fit.

You can run it with 205s if you want...it'll look cool but from a performance standpoint it would be better for you to go with a more positive offset to fit more rubber. Look at metal's car here, he has the same setup and it looks great!
edit: this is on stock suspension
how about 16x8.5 with +37 offset, will that clear the back and front for the spring and do that need a spacer maybe just 5mm in the front? thanks just wondering

but spacer can help out right like getting the 8mm from here http://www.fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm
but would it hurt putting the spacer tho? would this shorten the stud by a lot if i the wheel are put on?

ARP studs are great. anyone using spacers should get them. some wheels are thick enough to require longer studs as well.
