15" BBS RX7 rims, safe too bore out ???

I have these rims and they would look sweet on my car but the center bore is too small, its 59.7mm and I need it to be 67mm to fit my 929 Mazda. For a few days I had them on my car and I knew it didnt look safe so I took them off, I didnt have no vibration at highway speeds even at 70mph, during this time there was a 1/4 inch gap between the hub and the rim cause my hub is too big. I talked to a specialty rims shop here in Vancouver who specializes in reparing and refinishing rims and they said they can do it. Do think i should do it or will the rim be too weak ????
