Atmospheric pressure (key on, engine off) should show about 42%.
So, when boost rolls in at 50% and up - that's where you want to be using the high map.

My current settings are lo-45 high-99.

My max boost is 11-12 PSI, so in % that's about 85.
Sometimes in cold winter air, in 4th gear, boost will creep to 14, so my high map still has headroom.

With a NA, your high map can stay pretty near 0.
To tune the low (cruise) map, a cheap narrow band AFR gauge is useful.
You can hold each NE point in neutral & dial down the correction to tune that RPM.
Then if you get to much of a bump when the ECU shifts from the map to closed loop, you can just add back a few % at that point.
