need some HELP with my AFC-2

i installed my afc and i have a couple questions; 1. the knocking sensor wire is yellow on my ecu harness, and my one manual told me it was suppost to be white, is this right?, 2. when i was wiring the air flow sensor wire, it was spliced into a black wire that diagonal from the air wire. Should this be? 3. can anybody explain me the initializing setup exactly how it goes.....thanks for yourself

The manual is kind of vague on this, but here is what I think happens.

When you set the S-AFC to initialize, then power off & on, the settings all revert to default values and the sensor input signals are followed to "learn" their ranges.

EEEK! Your in a heap of trouble. The colors they refer to are the colors on the SAFC harness, NOT the cars harness.

If you don't have a manual, go to SURESHOTS thread above and note the links he has at the bottom of his thread. Go to OTHER MANUALS. Look at the SUPER SAFC VEHICLE SPECIFIC WIRING DIAGRAMS. Go to page (4) four.

Then look at page 26 which shows the ECU pinout and where the wires are for the various things you need to connect your SAFC harness wires to. Like the TPS, AFM, POWER etc.

The ECU wire colors are NOT mentioned anywhere in the SAFC manual. Only the SAFC wire colors.

Initialzing clears the settings and re-learns the input signal limits.
