Looking into a SAFC-II

i have a 88 turbo II with 720cc secondary inj's a t04b with h trim and was looking at turning the boost up i have a dual stage boost controller with remote and i was planning on getting a microtech but too expensive for right now, i jus need something thats going to make sure my air fuel is good with my boost for right now on stock inercooler was planning 12psi and 6 psi for cruising,

which safc should i get for what i am trying to do

i was looking at getting a safc-II and was wondering can i ditch the maf meter?

do i need a racing pump

and do i still need to get a fuel pressure regulator

thanx

No. You still need the stock ECU. It modifies signals to it, it doesn't replace it.

Depends. As long as you can flow enough return fuel to keep the pressure down at idle, it's never a *bad* idea to get a higher flow rate pump.

What are you planning to use it for? You have a fuel pressure regulator on the car already.

It sounds like with your mods & goals you might be better off getting a full standalone.

i was planning on gettiing a standalone microtech but unfortunately i spent 2 much money on my transmission (i got raped) so i am going to have to settle with a safc so i can turn my boost up to 12 or 15 psi and have some reliability and make me feel better

no i was just going to get a fuel pressure regulator then started looking into a safc

just wondering if this can all be done with a safc because its way cheaper this route or i cant do anything

I guess I'm a bit fuzzy on what exactly you're planning to do, and what you're planning to use the SAFC-II for. If you can get enough fuel in, it's not a problem. I'm not a turbo-head yet, though. I live in my nice lean NA land.

One thing I would tend to do is put the FCD after the SAFC-II. This way, the SAFC will be able to read and respond to the increasing pressure signal, but the ECU will see the clamped signal and not cut fuel.
