Hey guys. I just got my car back from A-spec where I had them give everything a once over and tune my GT3574 setup. The car is setup as following:

88 10 AE original 50,000 miles 115/115 compression
Stock ports
GT3574 regular runners
microtech LT12
J spec intake manifold
Greddy spec V front mount 2.75" piping
550/1650 injectors
parallel fuel setup with surge tank
walbro feeding surge tank, 044 pulling feeding high pressure
3" down pipe to dual 2.5"

At 15 PSI the car laid down 423 RWHP and 349 ft-lbs torque

Congrats, you'll be happy with it. I love my 3574R so far and I haven't even turned up the boost yet. Make sure you don't tune for hp numbers but make sure you tune for longevity/safety. I would rather have 380-400 for many years as oppossed to trying for more and have a shorter life span, just my 2 cents. Good luck, Sean won't steer you wrong.

Dude, Im not gonna try and fight anyone's battle but to be quite honest. I find it disrespectful that you can come in a vendor thread, whom is known personally or on this forum for a very long time by nearly everyone on this forum.

Whether anyone agrees with Sean or not, he has not ripped off anyone in here, and if he did, contacting him first is the right thing to do. If you didn't get any resolution by phone.emailing, pm'ing there is a good guy bad guy section.

Please change the way you approach things.

ordered mine...cant wait. really excited. got the 450r fuel kit as well. Great service so far, very friendly. They're even gonna let me ship them my powerFC so they can adjust the Injector settings so i can drive out there and get my tune instead of trailering it.

Just wanted to pop in and say I have ordered stainless from a new supplier, this has allowed me to step up the inner diameter on the tubing by 3.5mm. The downside is it just added fifteen days until my next batch of tubing comes in. However the wait will be worth it as you will be getting a better flowing manifold overall.

If you have any questions at all it's easiest to either PM me or email me.

Holy flat power curve!

I Once I get my car sorted out, I will probably be looking into one of these next year. I like the way the power is not all peaky.

I did not read through all of the pages, but why would you buy one of these over the BB version? Is is just to save the $400 difference? Does anyone have a comparison of the power curve side-by-side of the two different turbos?

Some of us have major money in our cars and it just doesn't seem to make much sense to if the BB builds power much faster to go this route to save $400--at least to me.

The journal bearing system is considerably cheaper to rebuild in event of failure than the BB versions. So a little slower spool does not outweigh future costs to some of us. I hear journal rebuilds can be as cheap as 3 to 5 hundred as opposed to the 1500+ of BB systems

Got ya. I know the BB are not rebuildable as a new turbo is cheaper. However, one should last a good 20k miles or so, correct? I have put about 2k miles on my car over the last year so based on my current usage a 20k mile turbo will last me 10 years?

Maybe people are rebuilding their turbos every year--I don't know. I'm all about saving money, but I guess I wanted a direct comparison between the two turbos on a dyno so that I can make an informed decision.

My current turbo upgrade and rebuild at BNR cost me $1k when it was all said and done. So, in hindsight, I could have just bought BB or almost two JB.

Has anyone dynoed these two turbos back-to-back and can post the quantitative differences?

06/07/2010 - Kit ordered with aprox 6 week ship time.

07/28/2010 - Told Kit would ship by end of week. This would make 7 weeks total, which i was ok with

No contact until 08/10/2010

08/10/2010 - Called to be charged the 2nd half of the total cost. Again told was shipping by end of week

08/23/1010 - Card charged the 2nd half of total cost

09/02/2010 - Received half of my kit

Still haven't heard from them since 08/10/2010 despite an email, a pm, and a voicemail sent to them

This puts it at 13 weeks. Now the quality of what i have received so far is amazing. I am really happy with how everything looks so far. Very thick metal. Very strong looking welds. Quality stuff for sure.

I also understand being busy and having stuff going on in ones life. But i am terribly upset that i have been told it was shipping multiple times, even though it wasnt. And am also upset that it has taken 13 weeks. I get that the 6 weeks was an estimate. From what i had heard from people i figured it would probably take 8 to 10. But 13 weeks is getting a little nauseating when i was told 6 to 8.

I just want to let everyone know what to expect. I am not saying dont buy this by any means. Personally, had i been told up front it would take 13 weeks i still would have bought it, assuming the rest of the kit is as amazing as the first. I just want to share my story so maybe others wont be as caught off guard by this as myself.

BigJim, let me show u my order:

paid on 14/05/2010 with promised delivery time 5-6 weeks

so i start taking my car apart, ordering intercooler kit, block off plates, greddy elbow ..etc and worked on it so i can install my turbo, get the car painted and go into DTP car show in Dec.

now after 4 months, i haven't received a single piece of the kit. not to mentions all the calls and emails that never got answered in these long 4 months, and the worst part is that i've been bussing to work since i took my car apart. so considered yourself lucky.

* i miss driving it and the summer is gone, + not likely it could make it to the show, waste of my plan and deposite.
