I have a question.. This should probably be in the single turbo section, however i doubt i will get the answer i am looking for.

What is the performance differance between a long runner style(assuming that a 'runner' is the pipe from the port to the turbo) manifold compared to a short and fairly strait manifold???

I have always being under the impression that a strait peice of pipe will flow the best.. so would a strait as possible manifold also be the case??

And also, a long runner benifits what compared to a short? The only thing i can think of is that the longer runners would provide extra volume so the preturbo pressure is lower (ie less exhaust in transfered to intake), this is assuming that the rate of the exhaust produced and the rate at which the turbo can process the exhasut is constant with a long runner as it is with a short runner.

I can see a system flowing better with a strait pipe out of the port to the turbo (ie the pipe is perpantidular vertically and horizontally).

Thanks for your time,

-Ben

I think winter time is a good time to stay indoors and start a new project....say.... a 3 rotor single turbo kit for the FC lovers. It is Christmas bonus time ya know and I need to spend money somewhere. ;-)

Motor itself your looking around 5k+ then build and conversion parts. It's not cheap. Cheaper way to beat the civic is to turbo what you have.

Sorry guys but at this point in time we are not looking to produce an FC kit. We have a bunch of large projects being started and the time is just not available to develop a 20B FC kit right now. It is something we will keep in mind for a later date though, but, as of right now there hasn't been an incredible demand for it. We do realize there are a few of you that are interested and we will definitely keep you in mind when we free up some time for R&D work...

I think there are more 20bFCs than FD's, granted more FC owners are cheap asses who wouldn't spend $5 to save their mother. There are a few of us out there though, keep us updated.

I have a question, how will this manifold fit with the defined autoworks 20b conversion kit? I know there kit sits higher which is why you have to get the manifold cut and sectioned so how will that affect how high the turbo it going to sit now? Have you put this kit on one of there conversions yet? I think over the next year my project will be a 20b!!! Thanks

Chris

At this moment I'm looking at revising the kits using the Tial V-band assembly. I will say that I can't be sure wether it will fit or not with DA's conversion.
